Green and Green Recruitment is pleased to be one of the first Recruitment
Companies in Australia to be certified as Carbon Neutral. This has been
achieved through a combination of reducing and offsetting carbon emissions
produced by the operations of the company. This initiative gives our clients
even more reassurance that their decision to partner with Green and Green
Recruitment is a solid investment as any commercial dealings with Green
and Green Recruitment have zero impact on the environment.
In launching a nationwide environmental initiative, Green and Green is
actively living out its corporate values of care, accountability and passion
and we are proud that we, along with our clients are working together
to reduce our impact on the environment.
We have enthusiastically embraced the company's fight against climate
change, forming an environmental committee to share ideas, plan events
and drive initiatives across the business. Some of the employee initiatives
Green and Green will put in place include:
- Launching a company-wide educational program;
- Undertaking energy efficiency assessments and reducing energy use
in offices while also purchasing up to 10% of green energy.
- Working with an employee led team to establish a Green Office Program.
- Printing of all marketing materials on recycled content papers;
- Ensuring 100% compliance of recycling efforts;
- Encouraging and rewarding staff who walk or make use of a bicycle
for return trips between work and home, and;
- Introducing educational environmental or live greenery gift options
for new client, new employee and staff recognition programs.
To achieve carbon neutral certification, Green and Green has partnered
with the Carbon Reduction Institute and undergone a comprehensive carbon
footprint analysis to determine its annual climate change impact. This
included calculating the emissions from energy usage, staff travel, waste,
embodied emissions in products and services offered by Green and Green
and business flights. As a result, Green and Green was granted the Institute's
NoCO2 certification.
As a 100% carbon neutral certified company, Green and Green will offset
over 1168 tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2008/2009. The carbon credits Green
and Green purchases to offset emissions are accredited under the government's
Greenhouse FriendlyTM Programme.
